We are delighted to offer for sale this Italian delivered, left-hand, drive Ferrari 348 TS that was supplied new on 14th July 1992 to Giorgio Cappelli, the former head of Scuderia Ferrari.

Thanks to his close links with the factory Cappelli personalised his new Ferrari with a Rosso Corsa exterior and a unique bespoke interior trimmed throughout with soft-grain tan leather. Dashboard, door cards, rear firewall and luggage shelf areas are all finished in luxurious tan leather instead of the standard carpet. In addition, a special uprated ANSA system was fitted.

The 348 spent its first 24 years in Italy until purchased by its penultimate owner in February 2016 who imported it into the UK. On importation the headlights were converted to right-hand-drive specification before registering the car with DVLA.

Since its arrival in the UK the 348 has been maintained by recognised Ferrari specialists Simon Furlonger of Kent and Rardley Motors of Surrey.

A major service was carried out by Furlonger in February 2021 at just under 65,000 kilometres and included oil and filters and the all-important cambelt change. The air conditioning system drier unit was replaced and the aircon system recharged. Two new Pirelli Zero tyres were also fitted and the total invoice came to just over £8,000.

Recent works include an oil and filter service carried out in November 2023 by Rardley Motors who also performed a pre-sale inspection. The car was confirmed to be in very good order and only required minor attention which included new spark plugs, handbrake adjustment and a brake fluid change. The final invoice for this work totalled just under £1,350.00.

Today this 348 is showing just over 65,000 kilometres on the odometer (40,400 miles). The bodywork and paint present very well with good even panel gaps. The car rolls on pristine and correct 17-inch five-spoke Speedline alloys.

Inside, the unique and attractive tan interior is in very good condition with only minor scuffs to the base of the driver’s seat. The carpets are also in good order and a pair of tailored floor mats are present.

The car comes complete with its original brown leather handbook wallet containing owner’s manual, stamped guarantee card, stamped maintenance booklet and a Ferrari service directory. Two keys are also present, one of which has been upgraded to a more recent Ferrari fob. The original tool kit case is also in place as well as a tyre sealant kit.

A history file containing service invoices and numerous MOT certificates also accompanies the car.

This Ferrari 348 TS is an excellent example of the ‘mini-Testarossa’ and is presented in good cosmetic and mechanical condition. In addition, this car’s unique interior with full tan leather adds further appeal to an already attractive package.
